It all began in the 90s when Fabio Pernarella and Lidia Rugi, animated by a great love for cooking, decided to throw themselves into this fantastic world. In fact, our cuisine is the expression of a unique territory in the world: Tuscany, San Gimignano. Researching, enhancing, and proposing local products and varieties, this is where the dishes created by chef and patron Lidia Rugi and Eugenio Simonetti are born.
In the heart of San Gimignano
Among vines and wheat fields, the beautiful city ofSaint Gimignano, declared a World Heritage SiteUNESCOin December 1990. Its unmistakable towers dominate a landscape that deserves more than a visit to its discovery. Our restaurant is located inVia Capassi 16, in one of the oldest buildings in the city, adjacent toVia S. Matteo, one of the most characteristic and important streets of the historic centre: walking through it means making aplunge into the pastmore than seven hundred years old, with its splendid medieval buildings and typical tower-houses.

Vernaccia in the world
The product that, more than any other, can describe San Gimignano in the world is Vernaccia, the excellent white wine that comes from the vines grown on the hills surrounding the village. A wine that has the honor of being the first Italian wine to receive the DOC appellation back in 1966 and the only Tuscan DOCG dedicated to a white.
