It all began in the 90s, when Fabio Pernarella and Lidia Rugi , driven by a deep passion for cooking, decided to embark on this fascinating gastronomic journey.

Our cuisine is a true celebration of the territory, a unique corner of the world: Tuscany, and in particular San Gimignano. Our mission is to research, enhance and propose local excellence, giving life to unique dishes created by chef and owner Lidia Rugi.
Among vineyards and wheat fields, stands the beautiful city of San Gimignano , declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1990. Its unmistakable towers dominate a landscape that deserves more than one visit to discover it.
Our restaurant is located in Via Capassi 16 , in one of the oldest buildings in the city, adjacent to Via S. Matteo, one of the most characteristic and important streets in the historic center . Walking along this street means taking a dive into the past of over seven hundred years, among splendid medieval buildings and typical tower houses. Here, you can discover and savor the most authentic and genuine Tuscany, a place where tradition is still strongly anchored to the territory and where it is possible to fully appreciate the unique taste of one of the most appreciated cuisines in Italy.
